Our Story

Zo Home Services was founded by husband & wife duo Alonzo & Sierra Jones.

 In 2017 Alonzo worked for a small windows and gutters  business. By 2018 he had become a first time dad and had to find a more consistent source of income. However, years after leaving that small business he found that he was always 'inspecting' windows and roofs whether he was driving down the street or visiting family or friends. It became a dream of his to start his own window and gutter busniess in the future. 

 

 Fast forward to 2022, Alonzo was now a father of 3 , and was wanting to have more time with his family while still providing a stable future. With his passion for clean windows, lots of prayer, and a little push/encouragment from his wife, Alonzo decided to take the leap of faith and start Zo Home Services.

While Alonzo is the founder and face of the business his wife Sierra handles all the behind the scenes and administrative work to keep the business running smoothly. While you may not ever see her in person, you will get to 'meet' her when you schedule or contact us. In addition to helping run the business, Sierra spends her time tending to and homeschooling their three daughters as a stay at home mom.

Alonzo & Sierra's three daughters are the unofficial mini team members of Zo Home Services. Their oldest daughter is their mini head of advertisment. Some of her favorite sayings, "Zo Home Services! Get your windows and pressure wash!" "Dad that roof is dirty, can you give them a gutter moss kill?!" You might even overhear her in the background occassionaly asking if you need a pressure wash service!  Their second daughter is thier mini contractor, she can often be found at home pretending to repair things or with a make shift towel tucked in her waistband as she pretends to clean windows. The baby of the bunch is the mini adminstrator, she loves to sit with her toy computer and phone and "work" like her mommy.

(You may occasionally overhear the older two in the background trying to  "assist" with the phone call)

Our Vision

Our main goal for the future of Zo Home Services is to be able to be a resource for those in need and make a lasting impact on the community. We hope to be able to start some of the following "programs" as we countinue to grow as a small business:

  • Annual back to school event​

    • Our vision is to be able to hold an annual back to school event where kids can get FREE backpacks, school supplies, and hair cuts. We hope that by next year (2024) we will be able to have our first backpack giveaway. ​

  • Annual Christmas giveaway

    • Our vision with this is to be able to host a FREE  event where parents or guardians can come "shop" for Christmas gifts for their children and also receive a Christmas meal basket for the Holiday season. We hope that by next year (2024) we will be able to sponsor at least 2 families. 

  • Annual coat drive

    • Our vision is to be able to provide coats to school aged children during the winter months as well as homeless people both young and old. We hope that next year (2024) we will be able to have our first coat drive and collect donations. ​

Those are just our top 3 goals we are currently working towards, but we have lots more we would love to do for the community. Our vision is BIG but we are realistic with our goals as a new small business. Our goal is to start small while we continue to grow our business and our connections in the community and we believe that with time we will be able to make our vision a reality. The communities we are looking to serve at this time are Auburn, Kent, Covington, and Tacoma.

 

Why these specific communities?

Zo Home Services is based in Auburn, WA and with Kent and Covington as close neighbors we consider them to be a part of our community. Alonzo & Sierra both grew up in Tacoma (that's actually how they met) so that community still means alot to them! 

​

How can you help?

  • Become a regular client of ours, when you support our small business you help to build towards our vision and goals!

  • Refer us to friends and loved ones! The more business we have, the more we are able to give back to the community!

  • Donate! If you would like to donate to one of these causes sign up here and we will be sure to include you in our email list when we begin collecting donations.

    • *We do not expect monetary donations, when we say donations we mean the materials needed for the specific event i.e. toys, coats, backpacks, school supplies, etc.  

  • Volunteer! If we are able to acheive our vision of hosting annual giveaway events, chances are we will have a large turn out and we will need extra hands on deck!
